What is Hydro Excavating?

Hydrovac Excavation is an excavation process which uses water pressure and a vacuum system. Water is pressurized and injected into the ground to liquefy the soil cover. The resulting slurry is simultaneously vacuumed from the excavation through a large vacuum hose into a debris tank.

It is a soft excavation and a safe non-destructive method of excavating used in any area where there is a risk of underground utilities and pipelines. This method replaces the safety issues associated with using such equipment as backhoes or hand digging which is why this business sector has enjoyed tremendous growth over the last few years.

Our Hydro-vac trucks are actually three self-contained trucks: a water truck, a pressure truck and a vacuum truck.

Sub-Surface Utility Engineering

In sub-surface utility engineering Daylighting will Identify and map every single utility in an area where a proposed construction project will take place.

Sewer Cleaning & Television

We can inspect new and live sewers via closed circuit television (CCTV), the results are then placed on a DVD, CD or high quality VHS.

What is Daylighting?

The term "Daylighting" is used because the hydro-excavation process non-destructively removes the soil from around buried utilities thus exposing them to daylight without disturbing them.
